As part of an international collaboration between the companies World Direct, GLINK, Hyphen and NorthWest Nodes, a highly acclaimed project for the aggregation and validation of climate data has gone live.
New standards for reliable climate data
Our solution makes it possible for the first time to aggregate and validate climate data from a variety of independent sources. We are already enabling automated applications today, which will become increasingly important in the future as a result of international endeavours and develop into a mandatory standard.
LargeCO2 registries such as Verra receive more valid data and therefore more valuableCO2 certificates thanks to our system's improved metrics. Companies that spend substantial sums on offsetting want to buy valid certificates. In the foreseeable future, companies will need independently validated certificates for theirCO2 emissions in order to comply with legal requirements.
Austria at the forefront of the world
In the international crypto sector, our project is raising Austria's profile as an innovative location for blockchain technology. Austria can thus achieve first-mover status and establish expertise leadership. Hosting and configuration take place in Austria, jobs are created and the added value remains in the country.
Our Chainlink nodes are hosted and operated in highly secure, ISO27001-certified Tier3 data centres of A1 Telekom Austria. Access to the data centres is only possible via VPN access and is secured via 2-factor authentication. This security dimension is a unique selling point for our solution in Austria.
Immense market potential and ease of use
We are addressing the entire global market with our solution, as every company will have to think about itsCO2 emissions in the future. This means that every company is also a potential customer. This enormous market potential makes the ease of use of the system a key requirement.
Chainlink is an industry standard and is well known to smart contract developers. The libraries used are clearly documented. We follow a multi-chain approach and do not force users to use a specific chain in order to access the data. Our system follows a SaaS approach and is very easy to use as a subscription model.
We are currently the largest Oracle network in connection with climate data and the only Oracle project to be accepted and specifically funded by the renowned ESA Business Incubator. Simultaneous access to the largest earth observation organisations such as ESA, Copernicus, WMO and NASA makes our solution unique and almost impossible for other companies to replicate within Austria.
In contrast to conventional methods, our blockchain solution impresses with its traceability, transparency and speed. Our planet is running out of time, we can no longer wait 6-8 months to check the effectiveness of climate protection measures. In Chainlink nodes, we can aggregate and validate climate data in a fraction of the time previously required and ensure that it is protected against errors and manipulation.
