World Direct and Glink
We have been cooperating very successfully with Glink since 2022, combining the in-depth know-how of one of Austria's leading providers of blockchain technologies with our decades of expertise in software development and the operation of highly secure IT infrastructure. The first jointly developed solution for aggregating and validating climate data was honoured with the prestigious Austrian Blockchain Award in 2023 and has already processed over 100,000 transactions.
In order to combine the strengths of the two companies even more closely, we entered into a strategic partnership with Glink at the beginning of 2024 with the aim of developing innovative products and services in the areas of Web 3.0, blockchain technology and AI for the key challenges of our time in an even more focussed manner.
Highly secure operation in Austria
As a subsidiary of A1 Telekom Austria AG, we have access to the most modern data centres in Austria and can position ourselves strongly together with Glink. In contrast to many Web3 providers that use hyperscaler services for data processing, we combine the resilience advantages of local, fail-safe processing with the essential decentralisation of blockchain.
In addition, the A1 data centres meet the highest security standards and are fully GDPR-compliant. With this strategy, we not only offer our customers unique added value, but also send a strong signal in favour of Austria as a technology location. This central aspect of the cooperation has also aroused the interest of Johanna Mikl-Leitner, Governor of Lower Austria, who invited representatives of our companies to visit.
More than just cryptocurrency
The partnership between World Direct and Glink continues to focus strongly on the financial sector, but is also tapping into the potential of blockchain technology in other areas such as climate protection, insurance and energy with current projects.
We also offer our customers and project partners key added value by combining expertise in different technological areas. Even if a project is primarily centred around the use of innovative chainlink technology, there is usually a need to create integrations in existing systems and connect them.
